Launch of TAM* services daily report services in 17 areas of Japan
- Daily report services realized in all 27 TAM survey areas -

Video Research Ltd. has been conducting TAM services in 27 broadcast areas nationwide in Japan. Out of 27 areas, in 16 areas (Nagano, Kumamoto, Kagoshima, Nagasaki, Kanazawa, Yamagata, Iwate, Tottori/Shimane, Ehime, Toyama, Yamaguchi, Akita, Aomori, Oita, Okinawa, Kochi), we previously had been providing TAM data for two consecutive weeks per month (24 weeks per annum) on a weekly basis, however, starting from Monday, 11 October 2004, daily reports have been provided.

Also, out of the 11 areas in which TAM data is provided 365 days a year such as the Kanto area, Fukushima was the only area without daily reporting services. Starting Monday, 4 October 2004, daily data reporting was started in Fukushima as well.

In these 17 areas, where conventionally TAM data provision had been made on the Friday of the week following the survey week, data is now provided on the next day - realizing much faster TAM data provision to clients.
The daily reporting data is provided over the Internet via Video Research's proprietary data service system "iNEX2".

Also, in the 16 areas where the 24-week survey had been conducted, the number of TV sets per survey household has been increased from a maximum of 2 sets per household to a maximum of 3 sets per household. With this change implemented, the number of TV sets per household for TAM surveys has been unified to a maximum of 3 sets per household in 25 areas, with the only exceptions being the Kanto and Kansai areas, where a maximum of 8 sets per household are measured.
